Schieffer's role with the Dodgers.

---
Working on something for over here that will run today or tomorrow (probably tomorrow at this point). For now, I offered my thoughts on Tom Schieffer's tasks during these first few weeks with the club over at ESPNLosAngeles.com.

Why there, you ask? Because Molly stole the show here yesterday, and I had to at least attempt to respond in kind. Consider yourself warned, Knight.

  1. Is anyone else surprised at Jamie's relative silence while all this is going on? She is a "50%" owner after all.

  2. Jamie’s is pushing for 50% ownership, but right now, the legal status of the Dodgers are in limbo, until a Judge forces the sale and requires Jamie get half the proceeds, or Frank settles with Jamie.

Jamie is also better being quiet at this moment, instead of sticking her foot in her mouth as Frank is doing with his PR blitz. She really can’t spin her unsatiable greed right now, and her greed is one of the reason the Dodgers are having so many financial problems.

  3. I've listened to two or three of Frank's Rants on the radio and boy, does he sound like he's losing it. He is soooo desparate, kind of like a guy bailing the water out of a sinking life boat with one hand, fighting off the sharks with the other and all the while screaming "It's not my fault!"

Question: What is the present value of the LAD in the face of a potential 3B media contract?

  4. How can Frank claim he has the legal authority to make a TV deal with Fox when his ownership rights to the Dodgers is clouded at best due to the divorce? At the very least Jamie can run to the divorce proceeding Judge who threw out that Post-Nup and put an injunction hold on any move Frank makes to sell the TV rights without her California community property rights being considered.

    Frank...just go away...soon

  5. The unfortunate fact is that the Pirates are the better team and that is why they won tonight.

  6. ^ Yup

    ^^ $800Mil?

I'm wondering what happens with Jamie if in early June MLB forces him to sell?? Do they have to get a judge to split everything up? What a mess.

  7. Josh, can you please comment on Shaiken's article today about McCourt's potential bankruptcy end-run to attempt to retain control of the team. This is a rather complex series of serpentine moves.
